Commuters creating a nuisance in public transport is not a thing of the past. Numerous videos circulating on the internet portray a similar scenario. Passengers engage in illegal activities like performing stunts, engaging in fights and recording dance videos causing disturbance to fellow travellers. Despite repeated warnings and stringent actions, some individuals just refuse to comply. Recently, a video of a person swinging inside a hammock while on a bus demonstrated an identical situation. Shared on X (formerly Twitter) on May 13, the bizarre video has left social media users divided.

The video captures the passenger and the bus conductor in a heated argument. The traveller was wrapped inside a blue-coloured hammock. It was attached with two strings tied on opposite corners of the railings. Although the conductor asked the commuter to get down from the hammock, the latter paid no heed. They engaged in a verbal spat as the onlookers laughed at the peculiar incident happening before their eyes. The situation got more bizarre when the person covered himself with the hammock from either side and started spinning inside the piece of cloth. After two random rotations, he continued to argue with the conductor. “Hammock on the bus?” read the note accompanying the post.

X-users were quick to react to the video. While some found it funny, others were displeased with the man’s wrongful actions. “It’s not right but still funny,” commented one person. Suggesting an easy way out of the situation, a user opined, “Scissors would’ve fixed that issue right away.” “Cut the strap,” quipped another. “Omg, I haven’t laughed this hard in years!” came a hilarious remark.

So far, the video has garnered more than 49,000 views on X.

The Delhi Metro is not new to such instances, with identical brawls amongst passengers surfacing on social media almost every other day. In the particular clip shared on X, two men were seen punching one another inside a crowded metro as the other commuters watched them in shock.

The video ended abruptly with the two men showing no signs of stopping. One traveller tried to stop the fight but failed in his attempt.
