The ability to navigate through deep water is not a quality often associated with elephants. Here’s a herd of tuskers from Assam who will change that perception. The breathtaking footage of an elephant herd navigating through the deep water of the Brahmaputra River has left many in awe. The herd can be seen swimming across the river in Assam’s Jorhat district. The breathtaking visuals of the elephants swimming across Nimati Ghat, one of the main river ports in Assam, was captured by photographer Sachin Bharali.
The elephants are immersed so deep in water that only a small portion of their bodies is visible in the viral footage. Navigating through the water, the animals walk close together.
