Zerodha Co-Founder Nikhil Kamath Reveals He Follows 16 Hours Intermittent Fasting
Nikhil Kamath revealed he practices intermittent fasting, where he fasts for 16 hours and then eats within an 8 hour window.

Nikhil Kamath, CEO and Co-Founder of Zerodha, is known for prioritising health and leading a balanced life. In a recent interview with Mint, the 37-year-old revealed that he practices intermittent fasting. During the 16-hour fasting period, he refrains from consuming solid food. Kamath explained, “I’m doing intermittent fasting. I have been for a year or 2 years now. So I try to do like 16 hours, I don’t eat till 2 PM and coffee somehow suppresses my appetite so I’ll have one coffee when markets begin at around 9 AM and then another by 12 AM and it keeps me going till 2 PM easily.”

Not just Nikhil Kamath, but his brother Nithin too is a fitness enthusiast. A while ago, when an X (Formerly Twitter) user asked the entrepreneur about positive changes, Nithin shared his daily routine. From saying no to screens at least two hours before bedtime to meditation for 10 minutes before sleep, Nithin’s post screamed inspiration from miles away.

He said, “Dinner & Killing all devices 2 hours before sleep. Yoga Nidra or some form of meditation for 10 minutes before sleep. 12 hours of fasting at least (7 pm to 7 am). Setting daily activity goals on the Apple watch. Protein before a drink, so less likely to feel binging after.”

Nikhil Kamath, in the same interview with Mint, also shared why he decided to invest in Subko Coffee and shared, “I used to order chocolates from so many different brands but their chocolates, they have something which is like an almond covered with podi powder, that spicy powder stuff. Even the quality of their coffee, it does taste better than Starbucks and I like coffee and I drink a lot of coffee. I think coffee should not taste like the standard thing, where coffee everywhere is the same. Subko has taste and a lot of other Indian Brands as well have taste.”
