Man Fatally Stabs Girlfriend Working In New York City Bar, Then Knifes Himself
The woman, an Irish citizen, was working in the bar for the past one year.

A man fatally stabbed a woman inside an Irish pub in Queens over the weekend. The woman, Sarah McNally, 41, is an Irish citizen was stabbed by her boyfriend to death in front of the patrons. The Glendale resident died on the floor of the Ceili House pub on Grand Avenue in Maspeth after her boyfriend stabbed her in the neck on Saturday.

People familiar with the developments and people close to McNally described her as a “sweet innocent girl” from Ireland, according to a report by the New York Post.

“She was just standing there talking… Her boyfriend came in … and he just walked right in and stabbed her. Then he started trying to stab himself. Horrible. Just horrible!” one patron was quoted as saying by the US-based news outlet.

Police are yet to find out what led to the murder.

Police nabbed the attacker while he had a blade in each hand and was bleeding from his self-inflicted knife wounds. Cops tasered him to cow him into submission because he did not drop the knives when ordered.

The attacker is received treatment in NYC Health + Hospitals Elmhurst and remains in critical condition. Police said that the charges against him are pending.

The people mentioned above said that there was no history of domestic violence between the two.

Mike Lambe, a 62-year-old landlord who has lived about two blocks away from the bar for around 20 years, told the newspaper that the murdered McNally was a “sweet, innocent girl from Longford”. Longford is a county in Ireland.

She had been working at the bar less than a year, he said.

“She was an innocent!” he said.

The man also pointed out that the street where the bar is located was facing crime-related issues and issues related to drugs.
