Former Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns is all set to make a return to Friday Night SmackDown. Once a prominent face of the show, Reigns has been absent from action for the last few months.
While wrestling fans have been awaiting his comeback, the 39-year-old made a dramatic appearance at the WWE SummerSlam earlier this month.

Cody Rhodes was engaged in a fierce title match against the current Bloodline chief Solo Sikoa. That is when a familiar tune started echoing across the arena, with Reigns walking out of the tunnel.
He went directly into the ring and hit Sikoa with a Superman Punch.
The distraction helped Rhodes launch his iconic Cross Rhodes on Sikoa and retain his Undisputed WWE Championship. Before leaving the ring, Reigns engaged in a stare-down with Rhodes though.
It was the first interaction between the duo, who faced off at WrestleMania 40 and Rhodes defeated Reigns to become the champion.
Considering their rivalry, it was surprising to see Reigns assist Rhodes to defend his title at the SummerSlam. But his appearance at the Premium Live Event (PLE) made Reigns’ fans anticipate his comeback to the main roster.
Amid the speculations, a big announcement has come to light.
Reigns would be part of the next SmackDown show to be aired on August 16.
Logan Paul, who lost his WWE United States title to LA Knight at SummerSlam, recently shared his thoughts about Roman Reigns’ comeback on his Impaulsive podcast.
Pointing at Reigns’ legendary stature, Paul said, “What I’m getting at is, I’m envious of guys like Roman, who don’t have to risk their entire body in health and wellness because people are so invested in the story. It’s such a good note; that’s a veteran note, but that’s the hardest part.”
Upon his return to SmackDown, the ‘OG Tribal Chief’ is expected to confront the new-look Bloodline, featuring the likes of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.
Reigns is likely to address the insult of Paul Heyman, who was punished by Solo Sikoa for not acknowledging him as the leader.
