New Delhi: The Champions League winners have returned home to spectacular scenes in Barcelona as fans have lined the streets to greet their treble winning side.
Pep Guardiola's men beat Manchester United in Rome on Wednesday night to become the first Spanish club to win the treble and the fans have turned up in their thousands to pay tribute to them.
After touching down at the airport this evening, Sport reports that the team boarded an open top bus and have been making their way through the city towards the Camp Nou.
Some of the players were drinking beers atop the bus, whilst others looked down and took photographs of the throng of fans that had gathered to cheer them on.
Reports claim that the total back in 2006 when they won the Champions League was 500,000 and that it is likely to be surpassed this time.
Whilst the players were celebrating with beer though, Pep Guardiola stuck to water on the bus and was seen with Andres Iniesta at the back for a while.
Martin Caceres and Gerard Pique were two of the more animated players on the journey, whilst the whole team talked with the fans around them.
As the bus went on, the songs began to get louder, some of the players, such as Caceres, took their shirts off, and the atmosphere became more and more like a party.
Samuel Eto'o, who had barely been seen since the start of the journey eventually popped with a huge smile on his face, as the team reached the Camp Nou at around 21:30 CET on Thursday evening.
