CHENNAI: Another case of a city builder’s disappearance came to light on Thursday, when his wife lodged a missing complaint with the police.S Senthil Kumar (43) of Thiruvanmiyur left home in his Volkswagen (TN 07 DJ 9293) on Tuesday morning, claiming that he was going to his office. He ran Span Engineers, a construction company in the same area, but the returns had not been good in the recent months, Inspector Senthil Kumar told Express. Even as Kumar did not return home that night, his wife Jaya received an envelope by courier on Wednesday. It contained a note from her husband, stating that he was no longer able to manage the losses sustained in business and was, therefore, planning to quit the world. He further claimed that he had already made an attempt while in Coimbatore on May 21, but it was a failure.Kumar told his wife that he was planning to go to Tiruchy on May 21, but the note showed that he had gone to Coimbatore instead, the inspector said. Further, Kumar urged his wife to take care of their son and daughter. Ruling out kidnap, the officer said that following a complaint filed by his wife at the Thiruvanmiyur police station, toll gate and traffic police had been alerted and Kumar’s photograph circulated to all police stations. As he was carrying his passport, immigration authorities too had been alerted.
