TIRUCHY: The position of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has become ‘untenable’ after the 13/7 bomb blasts in Mumbai and ‘he has to go’, said CPI national secretary D Raja.Stopping short of calling for his removal, the Communist leader said ‘it is upto the Prime Minister to take a decision on his continuance’.Talking to presspersons here on Saturday, he described the Home Minister as ‘a man of rhetoric, not backed by action’, Raja said he was ‘total failure’.The bomb blasts had raised many questions over the security preparedness of the country, he said and added that the home ministry had not shown efficiency in tackling the ‘left extremists’ within the country. The Left parties were preparing to raise the issue in the forthcoming Parliament session and Chidambaram was answerable for the security lapses.
