KARAIKAL: In a special cleaning drive organised by the MARG Karaikal port, a large quantity of garbage was collected from the Karaikal beach, on Saturday.Prasad Rebala, senior vice-president, Karaikal port who inaugurated the drive, said that the clean-up was observed to commemorate the ‘International Coastal Clean-up Day’, aimed at cleaning up coasts and creating awareness of cleanliness.Port staff, members of self-help groups and other volunteers took part in the drive.
