An eye witness in a case of abduction and murder of a four-year-old girl was allegedly killed in Muzaffarnagar after he refused to turn hostile in the court, police said on Thursday.
Fayyaz (60), was killed by a sharp object in Khoja Nagal village of the district here on Wednesday.
The deceased was being pressurised by a group of men for turning hostile and not appearing in next hearing in the court, which was scheduled after a couple of days, said Deputy SP Sanjiv Vajpayee. Police has registered a case against five men- Hussain, Tanvir, Parvez, Shakil and Shahzad, he added.
The minor girl was abducted and murdered for ransom in the district on September 7, 2011.
