Fire and Rescue personnel rushed to the power loom and doused the flames immediately.Vasudevan said that he had been manufacturing fabrics including shirts and trousers for export, and added that the damaged machines had to be checked by technicians to see if they could be reconditioned or replaced.Rasipuram police registered a complaint in connection with the fire accident.Preliminary inquiries revealed that an electric short circuit could have caused the fire. “Usually crows sit on the overhead electric cables causing a sudden flow of high voltage.
