Washington: US President George W Bush on Wednesday underlined the agenda for his India visit, underlining the huge prospects from the economic point of view that India promises for America.

Bush said he looked forward to meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discuss ways to advance the strategic partnership between the two countries.

"India has a Muslim President and a Sikh Prime Minister. I look forward to meeting both of them," Bush, who will pay a three-day visit to India from March 1, said addressing the Asia Society here.

Describing India as a 'natural partner', he said the US shared 'common interests' with it.

Bush, who will be meeting Singh on March 1, said: "We will be discussing ways to advance our strategic partnership"

He also underlined that Pakistan is a key ally in the war against terror.

"The Indian economy expansion means greater stability for the region," he said. "India's growth is creating better opportunities for the middle class."

At the same time, Bush also underlined the need for America to raise education skills to counter the outsourcing threat.

"Growing Indian economy means more business for Americans. Losing jobs is traumtic, but rather than protectionist policies, I belive in educationalist policies," he said.

"American companies have benefitted by setting up R& D work in India," Bush said, adding: "India provides executives to us for it to conduct its businesses overseas."

He also said that India has to lift its cap to American products and services.
