Hundreds of users of Google buzz, Blogosphere and Facebook have come forward to meet the medical expenses of a 27-yearold girl currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia at the Regional Cancer Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. It all began four days ago when Sanal Sasidharan posted a simple blog inviting the attention of the cyber world to the life of Shari and her husband Anil Kumar of Kollam on his blog http://www.sanathanan.blogspot.com/

Shari, who had earlier undergone treatment for polycystic ovaries, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. According to the doctors, Shari has to undergo salvage chemotherapy followed by bone marrow transplant the cost of which is a whopping `15 lakh.

As of now, `3,37,200 has been promised by various people out of which ` 1,95,800 has been deposited in the account. A Google spreadsheet displays details of those who have agreed to contribute their mite.
