Lokayukta in eye of Karnataka political storm

MYSORE: Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda criticised Lokayukta officials for their ‘partisan’ manner in targeting his family members.Gowda said that he had questioned former Lokayukta AGDP Jeevankumar Gaonkar over phone about his methods of conduction of investigations. Denying that he did not threaten the ADGP, Gowda said that Balakrishne Gowda’s residence was raided only due to political vengeance as his son was also served notice seeking details of expenses incurred due to his family’s visit to temples.“The Lokayukta, who conducted investigation based on a Tirupati temple ticket found at my son’s house, are mum on Yeddyurappa’s visits to temples across the country,” he said.
