CUTTACK: A nurse of a local nursing home at Nimchouri under Lalbag police limits died under mysterious circumstances on the hospital premises on Tuesday. She was found in a serious condition in the toilet of the nursing home and was rushed to the City Hospital where she succumbed.The nurse, Smita Priyadarshi Sahoo (19), of Khurda who was working with the Saha Nursing Home was missing around lunch time on Tuesday. On a search by her colleagues she was found lying inside the toilet of a ward in the upper floor of the medical. A syringe was also reportedly found near her leading to suspicion of injecting poisonous drugs in her. As she was in an unconscious state, the personnel rushed her to the nearby City Hospital but she had died by then. While she is believed to have committed suicide, police are exploring all angles. The ward near the toilet was vacant at the time. Post-mortem would be conducted on Wednesday, police said.
