Two students of School of Engineering (SOE), Cusat, were suspended on Friday for allegedly assaulting the security guard two weeks ago at the post-matric hostel.

In addition to this, the students of the Departments of Instrumentation and Ship Technology, have been suspended from their hostel following inter-departmental clashes.

The first and the seventh semester students of Ship Technology, have been excluded from the expulsion.

“Based on the inquiry conducted into the assault of the security guard at the post-matric hostel, we have suspended two students of SOE. Moreover, the students of the Departments of Instrumentation and Ship Technology have been suspended from the hostel and have been asked not to loiter on the campus before and after their classes,” said Registrar A Ramachandran.
