Upgrade for Fodder Development Scheme

CHENNAI: The Fodder Development Scheme formulated by the State, aimed at supplying fodder without any interruption to sheep/goat and milch cows, which have to be distributed free of cost, will cover 24,000 acres during the current financial year. The CM has allocated Rs 20 crore towards this.The scheme will be implemented to intensify cultivation of fodder in arable land to overcome the green fodder deficiency in the State. The beneficiaries of the free milch cow distribution scheme will be selected on a priority basis.
