During the roadshow, PM Modi greeted people who had gathered along its route from the airport to the railway station

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday to inaugurate a redeveloped railway station and an airport. He also conducted a roadshow covering a distance of about 15 km between the airport and the railway station and passing through Dharam Path, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Ram Path, Tedhi Bazaar and Mohabra intersection.

Several people flocked in large numbers, while cheering and showering flowers for the Prime Minister as his convoy crossed the road.

During the roadshow, PM Modi  and greeted people who had gathered along its route from the airport to the railway station.

The prime minister witnessed performances by cultural troupes along his roadshow’s route, and at one point, opened the door his vehicle to wave at them.

Among the ones who greeted him by showering flowers, was former Babri Petitioner Iqbal Ansari.

Besides the inaugurations, Modi also flagged off new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains as well as dedicated railway projects to the nation.

Modi also participated in a public programme where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth more than Rs 15,700 crore for Uttar Pradesh.

These include projects worth about Rs 11,100 crore for the development of ayodhya and its surrounding areas, and projects worth about Rs 4,600 crore related to other works across Uttar Pradesh

The prime minister was welcomed to the state by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.

In a post on X, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Hearty welcome and greetings to respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji in Shri Ayodhya Dham…”
