Web counselling for BE seats from August 1

HYDERABAD: Web counselling for admission into engineering colleges for the academic year 2011-12 will start from August 1. A notification will be issued in this regard on July 22. Counselling will be preceded by certificate and document verification from July 28 to August 2.The decision to conduct the counselling was taken at a meeting held here on Tuesday by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) authorities and admission committee.Counselling process will be completed before August 17 and classes for first year engineering students will be conducted from August 18.Students can select the course of their choice in different colleges through the internet for web counselling from August 1. Later, seat allotments will be made before August 16 based on ranks. Counselling will be held for about 3 lakh seats in 715 engineering colleges in state.
