K-Pop sensation Drippin is gearing up for their comeback with the release of their 4th single, Beautiful MAZE, which is slated to be out on April 3. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this moment since their last single, SEVEN SINS, dropped a year ago. While teasers for their return have sparked excitement among fans, Woollim Entertainment, the agency representing the South Korean group, recently disclosed concerning news about member Joo Changuk’s health. Following a hospital visit due to deteriorating health conditions, Joo Changuk was diagnosed with a respiratory illness, due to which he underwent thorough medical examinations. As a result, medical professionals recommended the idol to temporarily pause his activities and prioritise his health.
Presently, Drippin’s promotional activities will be carried by members Hwang Yunseong, Lee Hyeop, Kim Dongyun, Kim Minseo and Cha Junho. As per the agency, more updates regarding Joo Changuk’s activities will be disclosed soon. Sharing the statement in X, the agency wrote, “First, we would like to thank the fans who always give generous love to our artist DRIPPIN. We are informing about future activities of DRIPPIN JOO CHANGUK. JOO CHANGUK visited the hospital due to poor physical condition and underwent a thorough examination while preparing for the next album. He decided to stop all his schedules and focus on recovery following the medical staff’s recommendation that he needed enough rest for the time being due to respiratory disease.”
“Therefore, DRIPPIN’s activities will be conducted as a five-member group for the time being. Information on joining the schedule will be notified later, and we will do our best to ensure JOO CHANGUK’s quick recovery and stability. We apologize for causing concern to many fans with sudden news, and ask for understanding,” Woollim Entertainment concluded. Despite this setback, fans are supporting Joo Changuk by sending their well wishes.

The original lineup of Drippin included seven members, but last year, Alex made the tough decision to depart from the group and terminate his exclusive contract with Woollim Entertainment. The agency confirmed idol’s exit with an official announcement on July 28. The decision came after proper discussion with the agency and his parents about his future. After Alex’ exit, Drippin continued their activities with 6 members, including Hwang Yunseong, Lee Hyeop, Joo Changuk, Kim Dongyun, Kim Minseo and Cha Junho.
