As mark of respect to the city of Udaipur and to seek blessings for the upcoming wedding of their daughter Isha, the Ambani family organised a special ‘Anna Seva’ in which 5100 people will be served food three times a day from December 7-10. This will precede the pre-wedding functions of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal on December 8 and 9.

Family members, including Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Ajay and Swati Piramal, Isha and Anand were present at ‘Anna Seva’ that took place at Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur.

The pre-wedding functions of Isha and Anand will also see a specially curated exhibition called ‘Swadesh Bazaar’ that will showcase 108 traditional Indian art and craft forms. Supported by the Reliance Foundation, the exhibition is an effort to encourage the indigenous hands behind century old traditions.

From the rich Kanjeevaram, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, the exhibition will cover over 30 types of textiles and weaving forms. Depicting folktales and local legends, artists will also showcase ancient painting forms like Gond, Madhubani, Phad, Warli and Thangka. Weavers, potters and sculptures from all around the country will assemble to make this a grand celebration of art and culture.
