Bheeman Raghu, a popular Malayalam actor, has been making headlines for a while now. The actor announced his switch from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to CPM last year. Ever since jumping ships, the actor has been constantly displaying his unwavering support and commitment to left-wing ideology. Now, he is caught up in the controversies yet again for the wrong reason.
Raghu, while delivering dialogue from the yesteryear superhit movie Narasimham, at an event added an explicit word to it the video of which immediately went viral on social media.
As Bheeman Raghu went on to narrate the dialogue which begins with “Palakkad Victoria collage” from the film, he added a word that was not included in the movie scene. Soon after the speech, he tendered an apology for the inappropriate remark but till then, the video of him using the objectionable word had been shared. The actor, in the aftermath of the criticism he received following the incident, came out to apologise again and said that it happened at the spur of the moment which he said was uncalled for. Raghu added that he didn’t intend to hurt anyone and the word accidentally came out of his mouth.
However, it is not the first time that the actor has grabbed everyone’s attention for his words and actions. Earlier, at the Kerala State Film Awards 2023 ceremony, Raghu did something that left everyone stunned in the ceremony. He stood up straight for 15 minutes while listening to Pinarayi Vijayan’s speech. When asked about the reason behind the gesture, he said that this was a way of showcasing respect to the Chief Minister.
Bheeman Raghu will next be seen alongside Sunny Leone who is making her Malayalam debut with the web series titled Pan Indian Sundari. Directed by Satheesh, the series also features Manikuttan, Johny Antony, Bheeman Raghu, Sarath Appani, Azees Nedumangad, Hareesh Kanaran, Malavika Sreenath, Kottayam Ramesh, Noby Marcose and John Vijay.
