Director Sathyan Anthikad Lauds Kishkkindha Kandam As A Fresh Take On Malayalam Cinema
Sathyan added that every aspect of the film coupled with the subtle acting by actors has left an indelible impression on his mind.

Actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali starrer Kishkkindha Kandam were released at the cinema halls on September 12, 2024, and released positive reviews. Dinjith Ayyathan has directed this film penned by Bahul Ramesh. Now director and writer Sathyan Anthikad has also lauded this film in a Facebook note penned in Malayalam. Sathyan wrote that he watched Kishkkindha Kandam when he felt that the Malayalam cinema would crumble after the news circulating in the media. Sathyan was probably pointing out the Justice K Hema Committee report which reveals shocking details of the discrimination and exploitation in the film industry. According to the 69-year-old director, Dinjith and Bahul have proved that they can make a successful film without relying on the winning formula. Sathyan added that every aspect of the film coupled with the subtle acting by actors has left an indelible impression on his mind.

According to the 69-year-old director, actor Asif Ali has amazing control over himself. Sathyan also appreciated actor Vijayaraghavan saying that if the Pookkaalam actor is given a role with acting potential, he can prove himself. The Njan Prakashan director praised the actress Aparna Balamurali and said that she has enacted the role with maturity. He also appreciated the music composer Mujeeb Majeed Kishkkindha Kandam’s music and producer Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment for believing in the film’s team. “All we need is good films to overcome all the difficulties. “Kishkindha Kandaam" is an answer.", Sathyan concluded his Facebook note with this line.
