The film also marks yet another collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan after blockbusters like Veere Di Wedding and Crew. Notably, this film marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s debut as a producer.
Previously, Kareena talked about her role in the movie when she said, “I think I loved playing that part because this is the first time I am playing a detective, and I am a huge crime drama fan.” The actress further admitted that playing the cop was difficult since the character’s grief made her uncomfortable. However, she also called it a “career-defining role for me and one of my best characters.”
Besides Kareena Kapoor Khan, The Buckingham Murders also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen.
The Buckingham Murders garnered acclaim from the crowd at its global premiere at the BFI London Film Festival 2023. It was also screened at the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in October.
The film is all set for its release on September 13, 2024.
