Doh Kyung-soo, popularly known as DO, has officially released his second solo mini-album titled Expectation. The first music video from the album is known as Somebody. DO’s maiden solo mini album, titled Empathy, was launched back in July 2021. Now, the South Korean singer and actor, who is a well-known member of the K-pop boy band EXO, is back with another masterpiece. There are seven tracks in DO’s second album, which perfectly captures his diverse genres and emotions. The soulful track, Somebody released on September 18 by SM Entertainment, has already started garnering much praise from the masses.

It features an acoustic guitar rhythm mixed with “sincere emotions in DO’s vocal tone" Somebody is a folk-pop song. Racket Boys actress Lee Jae also stars in the music video. The track opens with Lee Jae giving an audition for the supposed promotion of a beverage drink. There she lays her eyes on DO, who works as a part of the filming crew. But no matter how many takes she gives, Lee Jae fails to perform the act with perfection. The unimpressed auditioners tell her to leave the premises. Upset at the outcome, Lee Jae can be seen crying when DO comforts her. And that’s the moment that paves the way for Lee Jae and Do to come closer, depicting a beautiful bond.

Fans were impressed by DO’s new track and showered praises on the singer in YouTube’s comment section. “How can someone have such a pleasant warm vocal tone, that can stir your emotions very well? That is DO. Love DO. Love EXO," one of them wrote. “Kyungsoo is literally perfect! Best vocals, visuals, dancing, and acting!" noted another. A third ardent admirer of DO said, “Ah everything about this MV is so cute, D.O’s voice just melts my heart."
