Television actor Bhupinder Singh and his aides have been taken into custody in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor following a murder stemming from a disagreement on the felling of trees. Bhupinder fired randomly from his licensed revolver, killing one young man and wounding three others. On the complaint of the deceased’s uncle, the police registered a complaint against TV actor Bhupendra and arrested him. Search is on for two of his other aids still absconding.
The village of Kuankheda Khadri is home to Bhupinder Singh, son of Pritam Singh, who also owns a farmhouse there. A farmstead is located next to Gurdeep Singh’s home. There was a eucalyptus tree on the edge of the land, and the two were fighting about whose property the tree was on Sunday. During the row, things got out of control and Bhupinder fired from a licensed handgun. While Gurdeep Singh, his wife Meerabai, and their son Amrik, aka Buta Singh, were gravely injured, Gobind Singh, Gurdeep Singh’s 22-year-old son, passed away instantly.
DIG Muniraj went to the scene as soon as he received the information and asked how the injured were doing. Late at night, a murder case was filed against Bhupinder and his domestic help Gyan Singh, Jeevan Singh, and Gurjar Singh on the allegation of Gurdeep’s brother Jeet. Gyan Singh was taken into custody by the police later that evening. The accused Bhupinder Singh and Gyan Singh, who were arrested, were produced to court on Monday while Jeevan Singh and Gurjar Singh are on the run.
