A British YouTuber who is currently in India is experiencing a range of popular festivals, from Ganesh Chaturthi to the India-Pakistan match and Navratri. His Instagram and YouTube profiles are filled with content showcasing his fantastic time in the country. However, amidst the festivities, a rather terrifying yet ultimately memorable incident took place during his stay in Mumbai, which ultimately had a positive outcome, all thanks to the assistance of the local police. This YouTuber, known as Phil Bland, was exploring the bustling city when he realised he had misplaced his iPhone during the Ganeshotsav. What followed was a nerve-wracking experience, which he documented using his GoPro camera, from the moment he hopped into an auto-rickshaw, where he suspected his phone went missing, to the eventual recovery facilitated by the Mumbai Police.
Bland, highly appreciative of the police force, shared his vlog on his YouTube channel @philbland. In the vlog, you can see him flagging down an auto-rickshaw after requesting the driver’s assistance with his remaining cash to take him to Juhu Beach. It was there, upon his arrival at the beach, that he realized his iPhone 14 was no longer in his pocket. Without delay, he decided to report the incident to the police, who promptly offered their assistance.
They even took him back to the spot where he had boarded the auto-rickshaw. However, to the astonishment of both Bland and the online community following his journey, the police informed him that someone had turned in his phone at a police station, thanks to the word having spread about the lost device. They guided him to the relevant police station, where he was joyfully reunited with his iPhone within just two hours of losing it.

Impressed by the dedication and integrity of both the police and the people of Mumbai, Phil expressed his gratitude by taking pictures with the officers, dubbing them “the best in the world." He even sought blessings from Ganpati Bappa at the police station’s pandal, displaying his sheer delight.
