Indore: Firebrand Hindutva leader Praveen Togadia on Friday said he would form a new organisation for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya after his ouster from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
Togadia said he would announce the new outfit on June 24 and start a campaign to push for the construction of the temple at the disputed Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi site.
The new organization would expedite Hindutva agenda, he said. When asked how he would talk about Ram temple construction as the matter is pending with the Supreme Court, the Hindutva leader said the matter was still sub-judice when LK Advani had taken out Rath Yatra on the issue.
He also vowed to continue his fight for labourers, farmers and youths with his new organisation. Underlining the plight of farmers, Togadia said that over three lakh farmers have committed suicide and when the people who feed the nation are sad, then the country can’t be happy.
Reminding Bharatiya Janata Party of its pre-Lok Sabha poll promises of implementing Swaminathan Committee recommendations, he said that the minimum support price should be one-and-half times of input cost.
“Vijay Mallya is allowed to flee the country with Rs 8,000 crore while the government asks Rs 60,000 from farmers for erecting electricity poles,” said the former VHP leader. “I will start a nationwide campaign for farmers and I would kick start this from Mandsaur,” he said.
