The UP chief minister blamed the central government for price rise and said the BSP had striven for a clean image.
Nawashahr: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati took on the Congress on Saturday while addressing a rally in Nawashahr, Punjab. She attacked the UPA government for apparently not doing enough to curb price rise.
She blamed the central government's policies for the spiralling rise in prices saying that the "wrong policies" of the UPA government "adversely affected the common man".
Countering the Congress' allegation regarding her recent ministerial sacking campaign, that it was all an act of desperation, Mayawati said that her party had ensured to give tickets to candidates with a clean image.
"We have ensured that our party candidates have a clean image and are working for the development of people."
