In a significant announcement, Railways has decided to cancel the services of the 13108 Kolkata – Dhaka Maitree Express, 13107 Dhaka – Kolkata Maitree Express, and 13109 Kolkata – Dhaka Maitree Express due to operational reasons. According to railway sources, the cancellations affect specific scheduled trips on the following dates:
- 13108 Kolkata-Dhaka Maitree Express, originally scheduled to depart from Kolkata station on July 22, 2024 (Monday)
- 13107 Dhaka-Kolkata Maitree Express, originally scheduled to depart from Dhaka on July 23, 2024 (Tuesday)
- 13109 Kolkata-Dhaka Maitree Express, originally scheduled to depart from Kolkata station on July 23, 2024 (Tuesday)

Regarding refunds, railway authorities have outlined the following procedures:
- Refund Process: Full refunds for tickets purchased from the respective ticket counters in Kolkata will be processed exclusively at dedicated ticket counters within Kolkata.
- Lost/Misplaced Tickets: No refunds will be issued for lost or misplaced tickets.
- Foreign Tourist Counter: Foreign tourists who purchased tickets can avail full refunds at the foreign tourist counter within the operational period of PRS (Passenger Reservation System). No TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) will be issued in such cases.
Passengers are advised to coordinate with the designated ticket counters for their refunds as per the specified conditions.
