AR Rahman Returns To Telugu Cinema, To Compose Music In Ram Charan's Next
Rahman has an extensive discography, creating iconic compositions in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English, Persian, and Mandarin.

Ram Charan’s upcoming project with National Award-winning director Buchi Babu Sana appears to be progressing positively. Following Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar’s recent confirmation of his involvement, the team made an exciting announcement on the birthday of music composer AR Rahman.

Extending a warm welcome to Rahman on joining the project and sending birthday wishes, Ram expressed on X. “Happy Birthday @arrahman sir, wish you health and happiness always.”

The creators officially revealed on Saturday that the Oscar Award-winning composer is now on board to compose the music. Buchi’s debut film, Uppena, received praise for its music, raising expectations from fans for this upcoming project. Details about the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Rahman has an extensive discography, creating iconic compositions in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English, Persian, and Mandarin. Although many of his Tamil songs have been dubbed into Telugu or used in remakes, it’s uncommon for him to specifically compose for a Telugu project that will be dubbed into other Indian languages.

In the ’90s, Rahman provided a background score for Nippu Ravva before fully composing for Telugu films like Super Police, Gangmaster, Naani, Ye Maaya Chesave, Komaram Puli, and Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo. Therefore, the yet-to-be-titled project signifies his ‘return’ to Telugu cinema after several years.

Ram is presently filming for Shankar’s debut Telugu project, Game Changer, alongside Kiara Advani and an ensemble cast. The shooting is underway, and the film is anticipated to be released later this year. Following the completion of this project, he will begin shooting for Buchi’s film. Meanwhile, Rahman has a busy schedule with projects in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Arabic. He is also working on compositions for Dhanush’s upcoming film, Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila, and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.

Besides, Game Changer is a compelling political thriller featuring the powerful duo of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles. The excitement has reached new heights with the revelation that veteran Telugu actor Brahmanandam, a renowned comedian, will make a rare cameo appearance, adding an extra layer of mystery and enhancing the film’s overall appeal.
