The South American nation has won two of the last three World Cups, in 1994 in the United States and 2002 in South Korea and Japan.

Bergisch Gladbach: Brazil is on top of its game and there's no reason it shouldn't win the World Cup, according to veteran defender Roberto Carlos.

"When Brazil is well prepared, it won't lose to anybody," the Real Madrid fullback said on Sunday.

"And the team is very well prepared, the atmosphere is really nice."

The 33-year-old left back said he has history to back his claims.

"Brazil has been showing its (superiority) for the past 12 years," he said. "Soccer has evolved during this time and Brazil keeps winning."

Brazil has won two of the last three World Cups, in 1994 in the United States and 2002 in South Korea and Japan. It was runner-up to host France in 1998.

Roberto Carlos wasn't the only one confident with Brazil's chances in Germany.

"Brazil is prepared to face anybody, there's no reason to fear any opponent," said striker Ronaldo, who netted twice in Brazil's 4-1 win over Japan on Thursday and apparently regained his form after shaky performances in the first two matches against Croatia and Australia.

Brazil faces Ghana on Tuesday in Dortmund in the round of 16. The winner will meet either France or Spain.
