Daughter, lover kill girl's family over differences

New Delhi: A 15-year-old girl and her boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly killing the girl's mother and brother.

The young couple allegedly committed the crime as the girl's family disapproved of their affair.

The incident took place on Sunday night in Mainpuri. Reports say that the tenth-standard student had called her boyfriend and his friend over to her house.

Following a heated argument with the family members, the boyfriend allegedly first strangled the brother and then shot him in the chest.

The mother was shot four times. Both victims died on the spot.

The accused also reportedly tried to hide the bodies in a bathroom. They tried to escape, but were nabbed by the police.
