HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Business School of Gitam University has invites applications for admission to its two-year MBA, M.Phil and Ph.D courses.Candidates can apply online to take HBSAT to get eligibility for admission. Those having MAT/GMAT/CAT-2011 scores need not take the HBSAT. But all candidates have to attend group discussion and personal interview.The last date for receiving applications for HBSAT is January 21. The online examination, group discussions and personal interview will be held from January 28. The last date for receiving filled-in applications with MAT/GMAT/CAT scores is February 18.Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, vice-chancellor G Subrahmanyam said they had a track record of providing 100 per cent placements.However, he said, 10 per cent of the MBA students passing out of their university every year were preferring to become entrepreneurs instead of taking up a job.The HBS has a total of 120 MBA seats, 60 in each batch. It is offering the two-year trimester MBA course with six specialisations including Supply Chain Management, Banking and Financial Services, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business and Health Care Management.A student will spend four and a half months in an industry to acquire an understanding of all facets of management.
