THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SFI agitation is part of the CPM leadership’s effort to cover up controversy over admission of DYFI leader’s daughter to the Pariyaram Medical College and other issues with in the party, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala alleged here on Thursday. In a statement issued here, he said that the CPM always resorted to violence when ever the party was in trouble. The CPM leaders should clear the air on why the SFI activists took to the streets as the UDF government have not made any amendment to the self-financing college admission procedure which was followed over the past five years.Disrupting public life and damaging public property it is general public who is being challenged, he added.UDF government aims at implementing a 50:50 ratio admission procedure and social justice in financing education sector. While the LDF government let managements control the PG admissions, the UDF Government succeeded in getting High Court and Supreme Court permission for 50:50 ratio in admissions, he said.
