BJP’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan for 'poor governance' and asked the voters to make a conscious choice while casting votes in assembly elections scheduled for December 1.
"Your vote is not just to pick a legislator but to decide the future of Rajasthan," he said to his supporters, while addressing a rally at Alwar, his first out of the five rallies he is supposed to attend on Tuesday.
Accusing the Congress of only remembering the people at the time of elections, he assured to the people that he could heart their "voice, anguish and pain" even if they couldn't hear his.
Taking a direct dig at Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, he joked that the pipelines for water supply in Rajasthan were so big that "Gehlot ji you and family can take a ride through it".
"Look at the condition of roads in Rajasthan. Your own Governor has criticised the state of roads. Under Congress govt in Rajasthan, the state leads in crimes against women, foeticide, scams and has most number of ministers in jail," he said, elaborating on all aspects categorically.
Furthermore, he alleged that it was in Gehlot's rule that Rajasthan has seen increased number of communal riots ( 40 cases) in the state.
Not failing to once again hit out at rival Rahul Gandhi, he said that 'Shehzada' has called BJP world champions in corruption, instead it is Congress "which has not left any world that it hasn't looted. The money being looted is being kept in accounts abroad".
Modi will address his second meeting in Deeg Kumher constituency (Bharatpur), and the third one will be held in Bandikui in Dausa, BJP state vice president Onkar Singh Lakhawat said.
The fourth and fifth meeting will take place in Sawaimadhopur and Dudu (Jaipur) constituencies, respectively, he said.
