Sankalp literary fest inaugurated

KOCHI: Sankalp 2011-2012, the second season of the inter-school mega literary fest, conducted by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, was inaugurated by filmmaker B Unnikrishnan here on Wednesday. Vinod Mathew, Resident Editor of The New Indian Express, was the guest of honour. The event comprised competitions like art contest, documentary filmmaking, debate and quiz. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tripunithura, and Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, emerged winners in the senior and junior categories respectively in the ‘Novice Novella Nouveau’ art contest.  Bhavan’s Adarsh Vidyalaya won the first place in ‘Sandesh’, the documentary film making contest, whereas Bhavans Varuna Vidyalaya emerged winner in the debate competition, ‘Samvad’, and the quiz, ‘Sanket’.
