New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh will meet President Pranab Mukherjee at 6PM on Thursday. The meeting comes against the backdrop of mounting demands for the removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav in the wake of Vyapam scam.
Singh is likely to recommend ouster of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav. Sources said it is a pre-scheduled meeting but the chances of the issue relating to the Governor coming up cannot be ruled out.
Earlier on Thursday, Home secretary LC Goyal met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to decide on Yadav's future.
This comes after the Supreme Court issued a notice to Madhya Pradesh Governor on a petition seeking his removal from the post over his alleged involvement in Vyapam scam.
Both Yadav and the Centre have been given a time period of four weeks to respond to the Supreme Court notice.
