When we visit a new place, we are very much weary of what we may find there and reconsider our safety. But to make reels on Instagram, people go the extra lengths and begin exploring seemingly uncharted territories. A recent video shows a person exploring a dark underground tunnel where insects are flying about. The clip left the internet shocked.
An Instagram account, Old Henry, shared a video of a person exploring a desolate place. The dark and narrow tunnel is filled with ankle-deep water and large flying insects. It leads to a dead end. People are usually afraid of going to such places as they can be home to snakes, rats or even venomous insects. The video begins with the person walking inside the tunnel and the water lapping up their ankles. The uneven walls of the tunnel, coupled with the insects and the echoing sound, are enough to send someone on their way back to sunlight, but not this explorer. As they kept advancing, the water seemed to be drying down at the end of the tunnel. Just when the video is about to stop, the camera zooms in on what looks like faecal matter but could be sulphur deposits.
The caption written in German and translated to English, read, “After that, the mouth remained closed.” A user commented, “I would like to go through such a stool with my metal detector. Would certainly be very interesting.” One was worried about the insects and wrote, “Wow, you need a mosquito net over your head. I’d be afraid to breathe it in.” One more wrote, “Why would you go into a dark and narrow tunnel? Just why?” The video has garnered 14.7k views on Instagram.
It is not the first video that the account has posted. There are many photos and clips of various other tunnels. The explorer seemed to have checked out other tunnels with knee-deep water and narrow tunnels with leaking ceilings. At times they have also come across artefacts and posted about in on the account.
