Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, who gained fame with films like Bangalore Days, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie, will be seen next in the film Ullozhukku. It is written and directed by Christo Tomy. It also stars Urvashi in the lead role. The makers have released the first-look poster of the film, following Parvathy and Sushin Shyam’s recent cryptic social media posts that have sparked speculations. The makers have also announced the release date of the film. Sushin Shyam composed the music for the film. The fans are excited for the film after watching an amusing poster, which follows a mysterious tagline.
The viral poster features Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu standing in a flooded front yard of the house. Parvathy is seen wearing a salwar-kurta, while Urvashi is seen wearing a saree. “Lies will drown, Secrets will surface” can be seen inscribed on the first-look poster of the film. Ullozhukku is touted to be a mystery thriller which encompasses complex relations between characters. After delivering the sensational documentary Curry & Cyanide based on the Koodathayi Cyanide Killing Case, the fans are excited to watch the next directorial of Christo Tomy. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey.
“Secrets stir below calm water!” wrote Parvathy before unveiling the poster.
Fans wished the team good luck and congratulated Parvathy for the poster. Amid this, an Instagram user claimed that the script of Ullozhukku had won the award for the best script at the national level a few years ago.
“A few years ago, there was a competition to find the best scripts at the national level. The prize money was 25 lakhs! Christo Tomy was a Malayali who won that day. That script is coming in front of us as a movie called Ullozhukku on June 21,” the user wrote. The script that came second was Laapataa Ladies, he further added. It is still unknown whether the said claims are true or not.
The cinematography of the film is done by Shehnad Jalal, while editing is done by the film.
