Hrithik, having received his education at Bombay Scottish School and Sydenham College, made a significant decision in his academic journey.

Despite being offered a scholarship from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), he chose to decline it, prioritising his commitment to building a career in Bollywood.

Journey In The Entertainment Industry

Contrary to popular belief, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai wasn’t his first film. He made his acting debut in 1980’s Aasha and assisted his father in movies like Karan Arjun and Koyla.

His journey in the entertainment industry gained prominence with roles in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and the fan-favourite Koi… Mil Gaya (2003). The success of Koi… Mil Gaya led to the creation of the Krrish franchise in 2006, establishing Hrithik as India’s first successful superhero in cinema.

His noteworthy performances continued with films like Dhoom 2 (2006) and Jodhaa Akbar (2008). His diverse roles showcased exceptional acting prowess, portraying characters ranging from an intellectually disabled boy to a Mughal emperor.

Hrithik’s contributions expanded beyond acting as he played various roles behind the scenes, progressing from uncredited assistant tasks to significant involvement in story development, camera work, direction, and editing.

In 2019, marking two decades in the industry, Hrithik impressed audiences with his roles in Super 30 and War.

Apart from his acting and dancing, he is also a gifted singer. His grandfather, Roshan, and uncle, Rajesh Roshan, found success as music directors, making it apt to say that music is ingrained in his family heritage.

Demonstrating his musical inclination, Hrithik effortlessly sang songs like What a Wonderful World in Guzaarish, Kites in the Sky in Kites, and Senorita in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Known for his captivating dance moves, high energy, and charisma, he has won numerous awards and accolades for his looks, including being voted the ‘Most Handsome Actor in the World’ in 2018, beating international actors like Robert Pattison, Chris Evans, and more.

Before this, Hrithik Roshan had also bagged titles like the Sexiest Asian Man, and Hottest Man on the Planet to name a few.

Family Life

Hrithik tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, interior designer Sussanne Khan, in the year 2000. The couple was blessed with two sons, Hrehaan Roshan and Hridhaan Roshan, born in 2006 and 2008, respectively.

However, the couple decided to part ways, and they officially separated in 2014.

Despite their amicable separation about a decade ago, both Hrithik and Sussanne maintain a cordial friendship and co-parenting relationship. They are often spotted together with their kids or partying with a group of mutual friends. Hrithik Roshan is currently dating actress-singer Saba Azad.

Hrithik Roshan, often described as India’s ‘most complete actor,’ reflects the rich heritage of the Hindi film industry through both sides of his inheritance.

From his maternal grandfather, director-producer J. Om Prakash, who introduced him to the screen at a young age, to his paternal grandfather Roshan Lal Nagrath, a renowned classical musician and composer, Hrithik’s family has significantly contributed to the industry.

Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, entered the film industry as an assistant to J. Om Prakash before shifting to acting. Rakesh later organised the family film company, FilmKraft Productions (India) Pvt. Ltd., first as a producer and later as a director.

Professionally, he is gearing up for the release of Fighter on January 25, 2024, directed by Siddharth Anand and featuring Deepika Padukone, promising a compelling storyline with a teaser recently released.
