The all-new Meerut Metro trains are here, and they come packed with modern amenities.

Touted as the ‘fastest’ metro service in India, the Meerut Metro, once operational, will offer a top-notch travel experience. Operated by NCRTC, which also handles the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail project, these 100 percent ‘Make in India’ metro trains are set to redefine public transport comfort.

Speed

Meerut Metro is designed to be the quickest in the country, with coaches built for a speed of 135 kmph, while the trains will run at a maximum speed of 120 kmph—matching the speed of Delhi’s Airport Metro, according to TOI.

Luxury and Comfort

These fully air-conditioned trains will provide cushioned 2×2 seats and a longitudinal seating arrangement, ensuring a comfortable ride. With space for over 700 passengers, 173 of whom can be seated, the Meerut Metro prioritizes convenience.

Modern Amenities

The Meerut Metro comes equipped with luggage racks, grab handles, USB charging ports, dynamic route maps, and CCTV cameras, making it a smooth ride for everyone. Energy-saving features like push-button doors, selective door openings, and a regenerative braking system add to the eco-friendly design.

Safety Features

Passengers will travel worry-free, thanks to advanced safety measures. The trains feature an emergency communication system, fire extinguishers, alarms, talk-back systems, and dedicated spaces for wheelchairs.

Route Map

The Meerut Metro route covers a distance of 23 km in just 30 minutes, with 13 stations including Meerut South, Partapur, Rithani, and more. Whether you’re commuting to Modipuram or Meerut Central, the Metro will provide a fast, efficient ride.
